Rationale:

Pursuant to the requirements of the Hillsborough Board of Education Resolution No. 2002-19 passed September 24, 2002, the Citizens’ Oversight Committee (COC) is pleased to submit an annual report to the Hillsborough City School District Board.

The focus of the report whether the expenditures of bond funds comply with those approved by voters in the Measure B ballot measure.

5.3. Hillsborough Little League Webcams, ACTION

Rationale:

Hillsborough Little League (HLL) endeavors to have two webcams professionally installed at District Fields to provide a ‘live’ viewing experience for family members and friends of HLL players.

While the concept for this project was spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic and a desire to allow games to be viewed by family and friends during a time when physical attendance at games will be restricted, it is the intent of HLL and HREC to allow continued use of the webcams, based on the terms agreed to herein, for future seasons, regardless of public health conditions.

In reliance on this agreement, HLL has decided to 100% fund this project. This District wishes to approve this request under the terms described in this MOU.

6. Public Hearing for Items not on the Agenda

Rationale:
Under Government Code 54954.3, members of the public have the right to address the Board on any matter within the Board’s jurisdiction. However, the Board cannot act on non-agenda items and cannot respond to issues other than to provide general information. Individual speakers will be allowed three minutes to address the Board. The Board shall limit the total time for public discussion of any one matter to twenty minutes.
